30's Film Noire Portrait
While photographing some publicity photos for a model, I arranged the lights to create a portrait of her that is remeniscient of the 30's and 40's film noire style. This is a 3 light set up, one overhead on a manfrotto Boom Arm with a 24" soft box attached, a Kicker light about 120 degrees off to camera left and then the main light is about 120 degrees off to camera right using a collapsed umbrella as a light modifier. A 24" white reflector on a stand is used to bounce light back onto the model from the kicker light.
