Parking

Growth in today's modern world happens at an exponential rate, and much of what we have today is built on the speculation that money and resources will continue to pour in. With money comes jobs, and with jobs comes people. As the size of modern cities continues to grow, great amounts of resources are poured into accommodating the increase in population. In the United States where the country is built around a workforce that commutes into the city for their jobs, parking ramps become a measure of the current economic state. As jobs and population increase, so does the need for parking. In this series I am exploring the fragility in which these spaces exist. Void of any people, these ramps float in a space between standing relics of what was and towering examples of what currently is.
